What this extension does

Irish Visa Decision Checker looks up publicly available Dublin Embassy visa decision records so you can check the status of an Irish visa application number without leaving your browser.

Data we collect

We do not collect, transmit, or store your application number anywhere outside your own browser.

• The application number you type is used only to search a decisions dataset that the extension downloads in full from GitHub (raw.githubusercontent.com) or Hugging Face (huggingface.co). Your number is never sent to us, to those hosts, or to any other server — the search happens entirely on your device.
• The dataset itself (public decision records, not tied to you) and your most recent search result are cached locally using Chrome's storage API so the extension works faster and offline for up to 24 hours. This data never leaves your device and is not accessible to us.
• We do not use analytics, tracking, or advertising services of any kind.

Permissions

• storage — cache the downloaded dataset and your last search result locally.
• activeTab — allow the popup to open.
• alarms — scheduled periodic refresh of the cached dataset.
• Host access to raw.githubusercontent.com and huggingface.co — the two sources the extension downloads the public decisions dataset from.

Data sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share any data, because we do not collect any.
